Governance and Public Policy are two of the most significant factors of well-functioning of a state. These are also closely related with law and legal institutions. In that perspective, law students are required to be acquainted of fundamental knowledge on governance and public policy. The contents of this course are designed to provide with the basic knowledge about governance and public policy. It helps them to realize the factors, actors and contexts of state machinery as well as the status of law and legal institutions with their role. This course familiarizes the fundamental concepts of governance and public policy and theories thereof. It also deals with the study of governance and policy formulation process. This course provides students with the knowledge and skills which are needed to identify and analyze issues and problems relating to governance and public policy in legal perspectives. It also examines a number of contemporary governance and public policy challenges and analysis thereof.

Groups shall submit report on their empirical study and present in open seminars. Each report shall have to be finalized taking into consideration the justified comments and suggestions obtained from the seminar.
